The Pilates Collective
More than mentorship. A community for Pilates teachers.
The Pilates Collective has been created to bring Pilates instructors together to connect, share, learn and support one another — because becoming a Pilates teacher is just the beginning of the journey.
Whether you’re newly qualified, finding your feet as a teacher, or have years of experience behind you, teaching Pilates can sometimes feel like a very individual profession. The Collective is about changing that — creating a supportive community where instructors can ask questions, share experiences, explore ideas and learn from one another.
Led by Catherine Mould and Leah Wainwright, movement instructors with more than a decade of teaching experience, The Collective draws on years of experience within the Pilates & Yoga industry — from building a studio and developing a successful teaching career, to navigating the realities of working with clients, continuing education, business, marketing and everything in between.
At its heart, The Pilates Collective is about sharing the things you don’t always learn on a teacher training course.
We’ll explore the realities of teaching — from developing your eye and your cueing, to working with different bodies and abilities, building confidence, managing challenging clients, understanding the business side of Pilates and continuing to develop your own practice.
But this isn’t about creating a room full of teachers who all teach the same way.
It’s about best practice, open conversation and shared learning, while respecting the different approaches, experiences and traditions within our industry.
A place to learn. A place to share. A place to belong.
The Collective will offer a combination of structured mentoring, practical sessions, industry insights, peer support and opportunities to connect with other instructors.
New teachers can benefit from the experience of those who have been teaching for years, while experienced instructors can share their knowledge, learn from others and continue to challenge their own thinking.
Because Pilates is a constantly evolving industry — and we believe we’re better teachers when we keep learning together.
The Pilates Collective is your community beyond teacher training.
